Hello! My name is Matt Cerini. I'm an Animation Director and 3D Animator based in NYC and available for freelance and staff opportunities.

I have 11 years of experience in animation. I graduated from the School of Visual Arts' Class of 2018, where I directed and animated my thesis film "Dear Alice", garnering 18 million views on CGMeetup. After graduating, I landed at Noggin by Nickelodeon Animation, where I animated and directed educational games and shorts for children. Most recently, I directed Big Hearts Belong, a series of four animated short films advocating for the importance of gender equity.

I specialize in Animation Directing/Supervising and 3D Character Animation. My greatest talent is in the subtlety of facial performances and my attention to detail. I am also proficient in Camera/Prop Animation, Previs & Layout, 2D Puppeted Animation (After Effects), Basic 2D/3D Rigging, and Writing Stories. My other skills include Motion Graphics/2D FX, Storyboarding/Animatics, and Video Editing.

As an artist, the one thing I strive for the most in my work is to tell a story. Something that pulls at the heart strings, and hopefully makes someone, somewhere feel something they didn't before.

Thanks for checking out my portfolio! Hope to work together soon! :)
